The service
Elementary Tools provides browser-based AI tools, including the Sherlock Deduction Board, free of charge and as-is, without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time.
Fair use of the AI features
The AI features are included and free for personal use. To keep them available to everyone, automated, bulk, or abusive use is not permitted, and rate limits apply. AI processing is performed by Google's Gemini service under Google's own terms.
AI-generated content
Deductions, conclusions, and consultant chatter are generated by AI models. They are fiction and entertainment, can be wrong or nonsensical, and are not professional advice of any kind — detective work included. Content you enter and content the AI generates from it are your responsibility; use the tools lawfully.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt the site, misuse the contact address, or use the tools to generate content that violates Google's Gemini usage policies or applicable law.
Intellectual property
The site's code and original content are the property of Elementary Tools. Sherlock Holmes and his companions are in the public domain. Mysteries you write remain yours.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elementary Tools is not liable for any damages arising from use of the site, including API costs, lost deductions, or wounded detective pride.
