🧠 The OOP Deduction Lab
🎩 A Mycroft Holmes tool — The smarter brother, rarely out of his chair
The Deduction Board reasons like one great detective; this lab reasons like a committee of witnesses. Give it a mystery and each clue awakens as an intelligent object with its own point of view: what it believes, which clues it suspects, which it wants to confer with. Watch the deliberations happen in recorded exchanges — every message a real AI reasoning step, not an animation — then see the Conclusion object convene the room, tally the votes, and deliver a verdict with the dissent preserved. Object-oriented programming as Alan Kay imagined it: independent minds, communicating by message.

What it does
Objects that actually think
Each clue gets its own AI call and speaks from its own perspective — belief, suspicions, and proposals in its own voice.
Real deliberations
Paired clues negotiate inferences in recorded transcripts; accepted inferences carry their agreed strength.
A verdict with dissent
The Conclusion object weighs every belief and inference, then each clue votes — disagreement is kept, not smoothed over.
How to use it
-
1
Give the lab a short mystery, or summon one.
-
2
Watch the objects awaken and confer — the feed records every exchange.
-
3
Read the verdict, the vote, and who dissented — then argue with the room.
"The big idea is messaging." — Alan Kay. Here the messages carry actual deductions: expect a dozen AI calls per case, spent on letting the evidence argue with itself.
